| Comments: | This 18-year-old girl with atopic dermatitis and eczematous patches around her eyes developed a cold sore on her upper lip. Her eyes became puffy and intensely itchy, and she was treated with oral antibiotics with some improvement. When the clustered vesicles disseminated to her eye lids, a viral culture was sent and oral valacyclovir was added to her treatment regimen. The eruptions cleared without complications. | ||||
