Description:
Comments: A 3.5-year-old girl had a 2 day history of progressive erythema on the back, neck, and face particularly around her ears. Twelve days earlier she had a mosquito bite which became secondarily infected 2 days later with the development of superficial bullae and honey-colored crusts. Two days before evaluation she developed diffuse tender red skin and low grade fevers. Although she had peeling lips, her mucous membranes were clear. She improved with anti-Staphylococcal antibiotics, and 7-10 days later experienced widespread peeling.
