Description: 3 cm bullae on a red base
Comments: A 13-year-old boy sustained an injury to the right middle finger while playing football 3 days earlier. A topical refrigerant anesthetic spray was excessively applied to the neighboring fingers resulting in a cold induced injury. Radiographs indicated a fracture of the middle finger.

Comments: This43-year-old woman developed painful purple plaques on her fingers and toes during the winter when temperatures went down to 7.6 degrees celcius. The eruption improved with topical steroids, analgesics, lubricants and protection from the cold.
