Description: There is keratinocytic atypia and mild nuclear pleomorphism with scattered dyskeratotic cells. The dysplastic change of an actinic keratosis or Bowen's disease is not seen.
Comments: This 60 year old man was on Avastin, Ioxitane, and Zometa for prostate cancer, all of which have been reported to cause cutaneous eruptions. He developed erythematous to violaceous hemorrhagic plaques on his extremities over two months. Chemotherapeutic drugs can cause acral erythema, hidradenitis, radiation recall dermatitis, and others. This case shows keratinocytic dysmaturation, a common finding with certain chemotherapies.

Description: well demarcated irregular hypopigmented plaques and macules with perifollicular pustules
Comments: This healthy toddler developed perifollicular pustules in the hairline during healing from an unintentional hot grease burn. Topical mupirocin therapy was started pending culture results given concern for methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

Comments: This patient was on prednisone and developed a localized depressed plaque-like area. The biopsy shows typical features of lipoatrophy. This finding can be seen with HIV, drugs and as a congenital finding.

Description: The fat lobules are small, making the septae appear wide. Individual adipocytes are small, with the appearance of hyalinization. There is no inflammatory infiltrate.

Description: multicolored patch with erosions and crusts
Comments: Shortly after receiving a tattoo this 32-year-old man developed pustules and crusting on the tattoo which grew Staphylococcus aureus on bacterial culture. The infection cleared over 10 days with topical mupirocin cream.

Description: well demarcated 2-3 cm punched out ulcers some with reepithelialization and scarring
Comments: This 8-year-old boy developed well circumscribed round ulcers on the right side of the scalp, face and buccal mucosa following brain surgery which damaged the right trigemminal nerve leaving him anaesthetic on the right side of the face and mouth. He avidly picked at the ulcers which healed somwehat when covered. The self-inflicted ulcers began to improve when he was treated with oral carbamezapine.
