| Comments: | This 60 year old man was on Avastin, Ioxitane, and Zometa for prostate cancer, all of which have been reported to cause cutaneous eruptions. He developed erythematous to violaceous hemorrhagic plaques on his extremities over two months. Chemotherapeutic drugs can cause acral erythema, hidradenitis, radiation recall dermatitis, and others. This case shows keratinocytic dysmaturation, a common finding with certain chemotherapies. | ||||

He avidly picked at the ulcers which healed somwehat when covered. The self-inflicted ulcers began to improve when he was treated with oral carbamezapine. | ||||
