Description: well demarcated 2-3 cm punched out ulcers some with reepithelialization and scarring
Comments: This 8-year-old boy developed well circumscribed round ulcers on the right side of the scalp, face and buccal mucosa following brain surgery which damaged the right trigemminal nerve leaving him anaesthetic on the right side of the face and mouth. He avidly picked at the ulcers which healed somwehat when covered. The self-inflicted ulcers began to improve when he was treated with oral carbamezapine.

Description: unilateral erythema, edema, sweating, tearing
Comments: This 13-month-old girl had a 3 month history of left sided facial erythema and swelling. Specifically, she experienced tearing and sweating as well as conjunctival injection and lip swelling. These episodes occurred intermittently 45 minutes after sun and heat exposure and emotional upset. She was healthy without a history of trauma, antecedent infection, or medical illness. A magnetic resonance imaging study of the brain and sympathetic chain of the neck was normal.

Comments: This adolescent boy developed a generalized eruption of annular plaques studded with pustules particularly along the borders while taking oral clincamycin. Pustules were also noted on the buccal mucosa, posterior hard palate, and subungually. Lesions resolved over several weeks with widespread desquamation after the medication was discontinued.

Comments: Ths histological features were consistent with drug-induced acute generalized exanthematous dermatosis. Pustules were also noted on the buccal mucosa, posterior hard palate, and subungually. Lesions resolved over several weeks with widespread desquamation after the medication was discontinued.
