Comments: This Fitzpatrick type 2 young adult developed asymptomatic diffuse uniform hypopigmented macules on her arms last summer. Although they were less prominent during the winter, they did not disappear.

Comments: This 26-year-old man complained of depigmentation of the lip margins for 7 years. The upper and lower gingivae were also noted to be involved on examination. He confessed to taking his coffee and tea very hot! Betnesol gargles and takinng his tea and coffee lukewarm slowly reversed the condition.

Comments: This healthy adolescent girl attempted to reduce her risk of melanoma by covering her moles with opaque adhesive patches when she was tanning in the sun at the beach or tanning salon resulting in hypopigmented patches surrounding her nevi.
