| Comments: | This 10-year-old boy was evaluated for a 2 year history of recurrent uniform round 3-4 mm blisters healing with depressed vaccination-like scars on sun exposed areas. The eruption worsened in the summer.. Hidroa vacciniforme is a vesiculobullous eruption that appears on sun-exposed skin during childhood tends to recur in the summer. The lesions are surrounded by an erythematous zone and resemble a smallpox vaccination. Punched out chicken pox or vaccination like scars are characteristic.This rare chronic photodermatosis resolves spontaneously in early adulthood, and is not usually associated with systemic disease. | ||||
