Comments: This 5-year-old girl developed generalized freckling with papules, crusts, and hypopigmentation in sun exposed areas. These lesions progressed and a year later she had developed crusted papules with erosions. The skin lesions and bulbar conjunctival pterygium were typical of xeroderma pigmentosum.

Comments: This 7-year-old girl was evaluated for widespread freckles most prominent in sun exposed skin, scaly crusted papules and plaques, erosions and ulcerations. These lesions were consistent with severe chronic actinic damage. She had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from her nose and neck.

She also developed corneal opacities from recurrent episodes of keratitis but no neurologic manifestations.
