	*Comments:*	This healthy 9-year-old boy developed large tender deep seated boils many capped with purplent draining pustules. Shortly before admission to the hospital he developed a fever to 38.5 degrees C, tender fluctuant local lymph nodes, and overlying cellulitis. The lesions were widespread and many arose in infected insect bites. He was treated with parenteral antibiotics and discharged 2 days later on a 2 week course of oral antibiotics. Cultures grew methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

	*Comments:*	This 10 year old boy had experienced recurrent pustules in the scalp for over a year. The pustules usually blossomed after his scalp hair was shaved and resolved with oral antibiotics and drainage of larger lesions. Cultures for dermatophytes were negative.

	*Comments:*	A 7 month old girl with chronic widespread atopic dermatitis developed low grade fevers and a fluctuant tender right breast mass. Her mother developed an abscess on her left cheek, her father developed a boil on his abdomen, and her grandmother developed a boil on her right wrist. The breast abscess was incised and drained yielding 20 cc's of pus, and all 3 were treated with oral cephalexin.
