| Comments: | This 14-year-old boy was diagnosed with mononucleosis and streptococcal pharyngitis. He was treated with amoxicillin and developed a diffuse red slightly itchy eruption on his trunk, neck and arms one day later. | Comments: | This adolescent was started on amoxicillin for a sore red throat, enlarged tonsils, and cervical adenopathy 2 days earlier. He developed a widespread morbilliform eruption with involvement of the palms and soles. His strep screen was negative, but his mono spot was positive. The antibiotic was discontinued and the rash resolved over the subsequent week. | ||||
