He had no fever or tenderness but continued to scratch constantly in the emergency room. He was admitted for intravenoud antibiotics and dramatically improved over night with tepid tap water compresses. Skin cultures grew normal flora, he never developed fever or leukocytosis, and all topical agents were discontinued except for petrolatum. | ||||
