	*Comments:*	This healthy 6-year-old boy had a scaly plaque on the left hand for 4 months. The lesion extended to the side of several fingers. A potassium hydroxide preparation showed branching hyphae typical of dermatophyte infection. He cleared with oral griseofulvin. Although the source was unclear, his father had a history of chronic tinea pedis.

	*Description:*	28 y/o male, policeman, washes hands often, 2 month history with itchy erythematous growing "line" on the dorsum of his hand. KOH and culture positive for T. rubrum
	*Comments:*	This 280year-old policeman with a history of frequent hand washing developed an itchy red rash with a scaly boder on the dorsum of the hand. A potassium hydroxide preparation revealed hyphae and a culture grew Trichophyton rubrum.
