Comments: This 3-year-old boy developed secondary infection with Staphylococcus aureus after scratching molluscum on his back. The excoriated areas improved with topical antibiotic therapy and the molluscum papules resolved over the following months. This case was prepared by University of Missisippi year 3 medical student Kelly Jeanes.

Description: grouped 4-5 mm vesicles and up to 1 cm ruptured bullae with crusts
Comments: This 4-month-old boy had a one week history of blisters in the diaper area. The lesions grew to 4-5 mm in diameter and rupture with a small amount of yellow purulent fluid. Culture revealed Staphylococcus areus that was treated with topical mupirocin. The case was prepared by University of Mississippi pediatric resident Mollie Sowell.

Comments: This healthy 4-year-old girl was evaluated for progressive itchy crusted papules on her right flank and arm for 2 weeks. Old lesions healed with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation while new vesicles continued to crust and expand at the borders. A sibling had a similar eruption. The lesions cleared began to heal 24 hours after starting oral cephalexin and all vesicles and crusts were gone on reevaluation one week later.
