	*Comments:*	A 5 year old boy had a light brown patch at birth. He gradually developed an increasing number of small dark brown macules and papules within the patch. Histologically the light brown patches in a speckled nevus show changes typical of lentigines, while the darker papules represent junctional nests of nevus cells.
