Description: skin graft after surgical excision of plaque
Comments: Shortly after the biopsy confirmed the clinical diagnosis of aspergillus, he was taken to the operating room where the plaque was excised and a skin graft from his thigh was placed over the wound. The wound healed well without complications, and there was no sign of recurrent infection. He was also treated with amphotericin.
