Description

Sections of skin show a lobular basophilic tumor without connection to the epidermis. The tumor consists of deeply basophilic cells arranged in nests with peripheral palisading. Tumor stromal clefting and mucin deposition are not identified. The surrounding stroma is loose and paucicellular. Mitotic figures are readily identified. Apocrine glands are seen.
