Trichoblastoma resembles basal cell carcinoma. However, there is trichogenic differentiation. The tumor is rare and most commonly develops on the scalp.

Description

There is a large circumscribed basaloid tumor with no epidermal connection. Islands of primitive, basaloid cells with peripheral palisading are embedded in a fibrotic stroma.
