This 26-year-old man developed nail pits, onycholysis, and mild subungual hyperkeratosis in association with generalized psoriatic plaques.

Description

This twenty-six year old male presented with pits on the fingernail surface, onycholysis, and mild subungual hyperkeratosis as well as generalized psoriasis. The patient was diagnosed with psoriasis of the nail, which is present in roughly half of all psoriasis patients. Treatment is difficult, although steroid injections into the nail matrix have proven successful in some cases.
