This healthy6 10-month-old boy developed a generalized vesiculobullous eruption with densest lesions on his neck, chin, and diaper area a week ago. His mucous membranes were clear, he was afebrile, he was eating well, and his behavior was normal except for itching particularly around his neck. Indirect immunosluorescence on salt split skin demonstrated linear deposition of IgA within the basement membrane zone. A complete blood count and G6PD were normal. He started oral dapsone 0.5 mg/kg/day and the eruption improved dramatically within 48 hours.
