This healthy middle aged man developed tender purple well dematcated nodules and plaques with necrotic cednters on his forearms and fingers. A skin biopsy showed an intense dermal neutrophilic infiltrate typical of Sweet syndrome. An exhaustive evaluation for malignancy revealed no underlying medical disorder, and the plaques healed without treatment.
