Comments

A 5 year old girl had sparse fine hair that didn’t grow according to her mother. The hair was easily extracted and examination of the hairs showed unusual anagen hairs with misshapen bulbs, absent root sheaths, and rufled cuticles. These findings are typical of loose anagen syndrome that occurs most commonly in preschool blond hair girls. Cases have also been reported in brunettes and boys.
