This 49 year old woman developed pruritic edematous papules on sun exposed areas including the arms, neck and face each spring. New papules erupted during the summer but remitted in the fall and winter. She was otherwise healthy and an extensive laboratory evaluation including urinary porphyrins was normal. She was on no medications except antihistamines to treat the pruritus during the summer months.
