Comments

At birth this healthy 3 week old boy was noted to have an asymptomatic red gelatinous nodule with overlying erosion on the right sole. The nodule had not changed since birth, and a biopsy showed changes characteristic of Langerhans cell histiocytosis. The electronmicroscopy shows tennis racket shaped granules characteristic of Langerhans cell histiocytes.
