This healthy 7-year-old boy from Poland, who was evaluated for a streptococcal pahryngitis, was noted to have salmon-colored, circular, well-circumscribed patches on his back. These cup marks were produced by his parents who applied a gently heated drinking glass to the skin in an effort to remove "cold" from his body.

Description

Healthy 7 year old male from Poland with symmetric salmon-colored, annular, well-circumscribed macules on his back. He had acute streptococcal pharyngitis. These are cup marks, produced by a gently heated drinking glass applied to the skin by his parents in an effort to remove "cold" from his body.
