A 10-year-old girl with an itchy rash on the chest was treated with a combination topical antifungal/steroid cream for 6 months. She experienced an improvement in symptoms, but the eruption recurred as soon as she discontinued therapy. A potassium hydroxide preparation showed branching septate hyphae, and she subsequently cleared with an oral antifungal medication.
