Comments

Special stains for organisms, including acid fast bacteria, were negative. Immunohistochemistry revealed scattered lymphocytes with CD3, CD5, CD8, and CD57 positivity. This is typical of large granular T-cell lymphoma.

Description

There is a nodular mixed inflammatory infiltrate comprised of neutrophils, eosinophils, histiocytes, and lymphocytes with nuclear variability centered on necrotic foci and vessels exhibiting leukocytoclasia with fibrin thrombi.
