This 68-year-old woman with a know history of sulfonamide allergy developed ulcerations on the bottom of her tongue and vermillion border 2 days after starting sulfamethoxazole/trimethorpin for a skin infection of her finger. The eruption began to clear within 24 hours of discontinuing the antibiotic.
