These findings are characteristic of scleromyxedema.

Description

There is diffuse fibroblast proliferation throughout the dermis with an associated increased presence of irregularly arranged collagen bundles. Alcian blue staining demonstrated increased mucin deposition both surrounding and dividing collagen bundles that is greatest in the upper reticular dermis.
