Cultures for bacteria, fungus, and atypical mycobacteria were negative. The findings were not specific but consistent with drug induced necrosis and subsequent ulceration

Description

Biopsy at the edge of the ulcer on left buttocks reveals necrosis of the epidermis, deep dermis and subcutaneous fat. Features of vasculitis and vasculopathy are not seen. A significant inflammatory infiltrate is not present. DIF is negative.
