Comments

A complete blood count demonstrating an eosinophilia and tissue eosinophilia on skin and fascial biopsy are not a prerequisite for the diagnosis of eosinophilic fasciitis. These histologic findings are consistent with the diagnosis.

Description

In the septae of the subcutis and fascia there is fibrosis and numerous inflammatory cells, including lymphocytes, histiocytes, and plasma cells. No eosinophils were found.
