Comments

This 11-year-old boy complained of a chronic dermatitis on his soles. Although the rash was never itchy, deep fissures were painful with walking. Note that the scaly patches were most prominent on the balls of the feet and bottoms of the toes sparing the web spaces and tops of the feet. Lesions improved with lubricants and sock occlusion. Interestingly, his mother had a similar problem which resolved during her adolescent years.
