This 280year-old policeman with a history of frequent hand washing developed an itchy red rash with a scaly boder on the dorsum of the hand. A potassium hydroxide preparation revealed hyphae and a culture grew Trichophyton rubrum.

Description

28 y/o male, policeman, washes hands often, 2 month history with itchy erythematous growing "line" on the dorsum of his hand. KOH and culture positive for T. rubrum
