This 5-year-old boy had a history of dry, itchy, scaly skin since infancy which worsened in winter. Initially the whole body was involved including face but 2 years ago his face cleared except for a few scales on his forehead. He had sparing of the flexural creases and hyeprlinearity of the palms and soles typical of ichthyosis vulgaris. The family history was positive for ichthyosis and atopy.
