This healthy adolescent complained of an itchy skin eruption on his right forearm and foot for at least 6 months. A potassium hydroxide preparation of scale from his right sole showed branching septate hyphae. He was treated with oral ultramicrosize griseofulvin for 4 weeks with clearing of the eruption.
