A 7 year old boy developed a dermatomal clustered papulovesicular eruption on the right mid back extending from the midline of the back to the midline of the right chest. The lesions were painful but healed uneventfully 2 weeks later. He was healthy with normal growth and development and had a history of chicken pox as an infant.
