A 6 year old girl had a 4 week history of a painful itchy vaginal rash with watery discharge. She did not improve with multiple topical medications. A Group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus screen was positive and the erythema and symtpoms disappeared during a 3 week course of oral amoxicillin.
