This 43 year old woman had an 11 year history of slowly progressive red scaly plaques with central scarring and hair loss in sun exposed areas. A biopsy showed changes typical of discoid lupus. She was otherwise well and complained of itching of her feet where she had new lesions. She also had some asymptomatic erosions on the tongue and buccal mucosa.
