A 25-year-old Human Immunodeficiency Virus infected man developed symptoms of meningitis. His CD4 count was 40, and cerebrospinal fluid examanination with India ink demonstrated many budding yeast and encapsulated organisms.

Description

Panel-A shows many encapsulated refractile structures. Panel-B&D show narrow based budding yeast and capsule. Panel-C shows refractile capsule structure.
