Comments

This 55-year-old man developed a pink nodule on the right ear. Although the cause of chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis is unknown, minor trauma (such as pressure from cell phones), poor vascularity, and actinic damage may play a role. It is more common in men over age 50, where it usually involves the helix, than woman, where the antihelix is the site of predilection. Lesions present as intermittently crusted and painful nodules between 4mm and 6 mm in diameter, and recur frequently after destructive therapy.
