This woman was noted at birth to have bilateral index finger nail dysplasia. The radiographic studies showed narrowing at the distal end of the affected distal phalanx (lack of the cresent-shaped cap), and a Y-shaped bony projection. There were no associated ectodermal abnormalities and no other affected family members.
