This 65-year-old man, who was a cement worker, developed symmetric excoriated, lichenified papules and plaques on the tops of his hands and feet 3 years earlier. He continued to work with cement, and the rash disseminated to his scalp, face, neck, and trunk. Lesions were associated with intense pruritus, stinging, and burning. This man demonstrated the typical course of allergic contact dermatitis to potassium dichromate present in cement.
