This 40-year-old man had a 10 year history of stasis dermatitis developed small ulcers on his right leg. The woody edema from chronic dermatitis, scratching, and probable associated venous hypertension was noted by the shiny surface and coarse textural changes.The large plaque on the shin was pruritic and painful and responded partially to topical steroids, elevation, compression stockings, and local care.
