Target lesions erupted on the lower trunk and extremities of this 10 year old boy who developed a cold 3 days earlier. Although his palms and soles (See related image.) were involved, his mucous membranes were spared, and the lesions were only minimally itchy.

symmetric widespread red papules with dusky centers on the lower chest, abdomen, arms, legs, palms and soles
