This 20 year old man was evaluated for multiple asymptomatic yellow papules on the vermillion border of his lips. These papules are typical of Fordyce spots and represent heterotopic sebaceous glands that are found most commonly on the lips and buccal mucosa. Fordyce spots are probably present at birth but tend to become clinically evident at or shortly before puberty.
