Comments

This 68-year-old man developed painful, grouped, dermatomal, vesicles on an erythematous base (the band of roses from hell) on the front, side, and back of his mid right chest seven days earlier. At his initial evaluation most of the vesicles were crusted, and the eruption cleared without treatment 2 weeks later. Fortunately he did not develop scarring or post herpetic neuralgia.
