This 10-year-old girl developed painful clustered red vesicles on the left side of her chest and back in a dermatomal distribution 3 days earlier. The eruption was preceded by severe localized pain for 2 days. She improved with oral acyclovir and topical calamine lotion.

Description

Asymmetric, dermatomal clustered 1-2 mm red vesicles This 10-year-old girl developed painful clustered red vesicles on the left side of front and back of her chest in a dermatomal distribution about three days earlier. The eruption was preceded by severe localized pain for two days. She improved with oral acyclovir and topical calamine lotion.
