Comments

A healthy vigorous newborn was noted to have widely scattered crusted papules with prominent lesions on his soles. A skin biopsy showed a mixed superficial dermal inflammatory infiltrate with numerous neutrophils consistent with a benign pustular eruption. The lesions healed over several weeks without scarring.
