This 10-year-old boy was born with a collodion membrane. He subsequently developed the characteristic skin changes of lamellar ichthyosis including diffuse thick hyperpigmented platelike scales, keratoderma, ectropion, eclabian, and alopecia. He also had smalll genitalia, pigeon chest, and flattening of the papillae on the tongue.
