This 9-year-old boy had a 2 year history of dark papules on his arms and thick scaly hyperpigmented plaques on his legs. He developed intermittent painful sores in his mouth. A skin biopsy showed changes typical of lichen planus. This case was prepared by Lena Palmer, a third year medical student at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.
