Comments

A 53-year-old Human Immunodeficiency virus positive man with a CD4 count of 97 on antiretroviral therapy was evaluated for pruritic red plaques on the extremities, trunk, and right ear. A skin biopsy showed a dense nodular infiltrate, of large atypical lymphocytes, smaller lymphocytes, and some eosinophiles and neutrophils consistent with lymphomatois papulosis. Immunohistochemical studies performed to further evaluate the immunophenotype of the lymphocytes showed that the infiltrate was comprised of CD30 T cells with a few CD20, CD8, and CD7 positive cells.
